Artist Statement

IMG_1113A blank canvas means working from a place of color for me rather than image. I work abstractly because it is both complex in process and mechanicsĀ and simple in creation and design. With a background in realism, I longed for the opposite end of the spectrum, to know the experience of painting from emotion, energy andĀ soul experience rather than day to day life.
